Participation of the UCCS in the interregional seminar-workshop "Study, promotion and preservation of the intangible cultural heritage of the region: the experience of Melitopol region"
On April 19, 2018 Representatives of the Ukrainian Center for Cultural Studies took part in the interregional seminar-workshop "Study, promotion and preservation of the intangible cultural heritage of the region: the experience of Melitopol region".
Olga Fomina, the chief specialist at the Department of Culture of the MelitopolCouncil(Zaporizhia Oblast) and Elena Arabadzhy, the Honored Worker of Education of Ukraine, pro-rector at Bohdan KhmelnytskyMelitopol State Pedagogical University, were the moderators of the event.
Within the seminar there was a presentationof “the Steppechantof Zaporizhiaregion”, a workshop on the production of Karaitepies – the elements inscribed on the list of intangible cultural heritage of Zaporizhia oblast (a master of Karaitecuisine is Sofia Yalpachyk) and a masterclass on Petrykivka painting (master sare members of National Union of Artists of Ukraine Lyudmila Lukyanenko and Olena Danyleiko). Practical events were held at the Intercultural Museum "Kale".
Iryna Frenkel, UCCS Director, congratulated the participants of the workshop, and UCCS Research Fellows presented skype reports outlining the practical steps to form a nomination dossier for the ICH element, promoted to the National Register, informed on the new form of the registration form for the ICH element (The Head of the Research Department of the UCCS,Valentyna Teleutsiawasa speaker) and acquainted with the forms and terms of reporting on the measures for the protection of the intangible cultural heritage (the speaker was a leading scientific member of UCCS, Liliya Snigiryova).
